Hi Jeffrey and Miguel,

Here's a couple answers to your questions:

Jeffrey - Yes, grapefruit juice can interfere with blood pressure medications, specifically calcium channel blockers. Best to consult your physician to determine the medication you're taking and your risk related to grapefruit.

Miguel - Yes, you should discuss supplementation of coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E. Your need for these nutrients is likely increased due to the statin medication.

Is it true that if you have high blood pressure too and taking medication for it also, that grapefruit juice is then bad for you? I have been told in the past, by doctors and a dietitian that I needed to stay away from grapefruits because they have a bad affect on the medication and can actually raise blood pressure levels. (I also replied via Twitter also).
